Historically, Brazilian culture has always found ways to express itself and thrive through music and art. As a Brazilian-American artist, I feel compelled to share the power of these joint practices that are deeply embedded in the people and in the culture of Brazil.

Decades have now passed since the incarnation of Techno and you now find this genre having a broader audience around the world, especially in Europe and The United States. However, in countries like Brazil, communities and artists are struggling to stay alive and grow within a system that does not foster such expressions of deviation. Nevertheless, you'll find a lot of emerging artists living there who make really amazing Techno. This is an all Brazilian lineup with a Brazilian Graphic Designer on a Brazilian Label. I want to showcase the amazing artistry and music coming out of my country in hopes to draw some much needed attention to the very talented producers and DJs living and working there.

First on the 12 inch is Andc. I'm sure a lot of you have seen this talented young man on a couple of instant classic groovy techno tracks within the last couple years. The Curitiba artists delivers a loopy upbeat groove with funk infused hats and percussion. With a rolling bassline and a hypnotizing synthline, this track will make any dance floor bounce no doubt.

Next on this line up is Maccari. I actually discovered and was introduced to this up and coming talent by Andc. The Campinas resident funished a beautifully crafted take on drive and groove. A perfect balance between continuous and repetitive. This track is an outstandingly crafted drum workout that introduces more and more subtle elements as the track unfolds.

ASKE needs no introduction. A talented and thriving producer with releases on legendary labels such as Modularz and Affekt. This Americana artist provides a hypnotic, loopy, well crafted four on the floor stomper. Balanced by tough kicks and lustrous synths.

Last but certainly not least is Nicolas Vogler. Amongst my group of artist friends, this emerging artists has quickly became a house hold name and his tracks seem to stay on permeant rotation between our playlists. Nicolas supplied the label with, what I like to call, a DJ Tool for the ages. Methodically thought out and intentional. A whirlwind of beautifully placed percussions.

Otavio Santiago, also known as OSC Design, Is a well experienced Graphic Designer working and living in Berlin. Originally from Belo Horizonte, Otavio Santiago put together an absolutely stunning cover art for this release. Otavio's work stretch's from branding to designing flyers and artwork for places such as Berghain. A talented Designer and genuinely amazing human. I'd like to publicly say to Otavio Santiago thank you so much for your help in making this project come to life.
